For the past week we've been having a lot of snow in Seattle--more than we have ever seen in our ten years of living here. The storms just keep coming in from the Pacific and dumping snow instead of the usual winter rain. Aki has really been enjoying the whole experience and it's nice that we don't have any place we need to be.

A Japanese family moved in down the street and Aki had a fun morning playing with their boy in the snow.

Soccer in the snow.

Anette, Cassia, and Aki blast down 94th St which was too steep and icy for cars but attracted all the kids in the neighborhood for some sledding.

Cassia and Aki started doing runs on their own seeking out ever higher terrain.

Hiking back up for another run.

Picking up speed.

Aki and Cassia having another great tandem run.

And of course Aki had to take the occassional break from sledding to throw snowballs.
