Autumn
A few pictures from our adventures around Seattle in Autumn.
We went on a sea kayaking trip with Web, Cyn, Alder, and River and camped out on an island. It rained the whole time but we took our crab pot and made a nice crab soup. The snails in the parking lot at the boat ramp were a highlight for Aki.
Snips & Snails and Puppy Dog Tails
After the first fall rain it's time to go out in search of the Golden chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius). We went out in search of the elusive mushrooms in the Boulder River Wilderness. Here Web shows Alder and Aki how to find them beneath the forest duff layer.
