Wisconsin River

I've done a lot of river trips around the country and the Wisconsin River is one of my favorites for just hanging out and enjoying the river. Great beaches, warm water, fun people watching, and almost 100 miles of free-flowing river to explore. We got all the kids together for a Saturday journey and picnic.

It's a sunny day and hundreds of canoes are out on the river.

Charlie and Aki spent a lot of time hanging over the side of the canoe.

Charlie teaching Aki how to shoot a water canon. Paul and Megi paddle the kids boat which is now armed and dangerous.

Aki gets the hang of it. Time for the camera man to duck and cover.

The boys, Charlie and Aki, shooting fish...

...and each other

...and anyone else standing around defenseless.

Maria enjoyed quieter activities.

Megi and Paul hanging out on a beach. "Hey Paul, isn't that Charlie floating away down the river in the background?"

Steve and Maria enjoying their journey down the Wisconsin River.

The beaches really make this a great trip.

Lots of people, lots of canoes, and everyone having a great time.
