Oregon Coast: A trip to Newport

Grandma and Grandpa were recently in town and we went down to Newport, Oregon to enjoy the coast.Aki and Grandpa watching for whales at Cape Perpetua.

One of our favorite activities in Newport was a trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. This was a great aquarium featuring marine life from the Oregon Coast.

The jellyfish tank.

The anchovy tank.

Strawberry anemone (Corynactis californica)

Sea lions hanging out at the pier in the Newport harbor.

Dinner at Shark's Seafood Bar. We really enjoyed dinner at this little place down by the Harbor in Newport.

What would a trip to the beach be without a stop at the local kite shop.

Aki successfully launches the kite.
